Refunds
Due to contractual obligations required to reserve the space for the event, we cannot offer any refunds once tickets have been purchased, however prior to the event if you wish to transfer your ticket to someone else we will be happy to do so.
Weather
Weather in New York can be unpredictable at best. In the event of inclement weather, 230 Fifth has reserved the interior lounge for our use and the event will move indoors.
Chili Teams -TEAM REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!
Team Information
- Up to 5 people per team
- Teams must register by Wednesday, May 13th 2009
- Teams must provide at least 4 to 5 gallons of chili
- Teams will NOT be allowed to register the day of the event
- A maximum of 30 teams will be accepted
Day of the Cook-off
- Teams must arrive between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Teams arriving later will NOT be judged
- Sternos and bricks will be provided, however chili should be prepared and warm before arriving at 230 Fifth.
There will not be enough time to warm cold chili. - Teams should bring pots and serving ladel. Optional side items such as chips, crackers, cheese or cornbread are encouraged but not required.
- Bowls, napkins, and plastic utensils will be provided by 230 Fifth
- REPRESENT UT/A&M by wearing your Orange/Maroon!!!
Judging
- A total of 9 judges, 7 professional and one representative each from NYTE and NYAMC. View the judges bios!
- Teams will be split into two pools, judges will advance 3 teams from each pool to the finals
- Each attendee will receive a People's Choice Ballot with their wrist band
- All judges decisions will be final
